Visiting Waddesdon Manor

Waddesdon Manor is open to visitors most of the year on a timed-entry system. The house and gardens run on separate schedules, so decide in advance whether you want to see the interiors, wander the grounds, or both — tickets are priced accordingly.
Opening times
Broadly, the house is open Wednesday to Sunday from late March until Christmas, closing on Mondays and Tuesdays. The gardens open for a longer season and welcome visitors most weekends across the year. Christmas at Waddesdon, with the manor lit, decorated and hosting evening openings, runs from mid-November to early January.

Ticket prices
Tickets are priced by what you want to see and are cheaper if you stick to the grounds. Members of the National Trust and Royal Oak Foundation enter free but still need to book a timed slot.

Timed entry — how it works
- Book a dated ticket online for both the house and grounds.
- Arrive within your entry window; the car park is free and about a five-minute walk from the house.
- Scan your ticket at the visitor entrance in the stables courtyard.
- You may return to the gardens, shops and restaurants at any time until closing.
Access and facilities
The ground floor of the house is fully accessible, with a lift to upper floors. A number of tarmac paths and buggy services connect the car park with the house and gardens. Assistance dogs are welcome; pet dogs are allowed only in the North Fountain area and on some woodland walks.
Two restaurants — the Manor Restaurant (in the stables) and the Summer House Café — offer sit-down meals, and Christmas markets add street-food stalls. Baby-changing facilities and free pushchair loans are available at the visitor centre.
